History

Nabinagar Mohila Degree College was founded in 1970 by a group of visionary local leaders and educators who recognized the urgent need for women's higher education in the Nabinagar region of Brahmanbaria district. The college started its journey with the Higher Secondary Certificate (HSC) programme and gradually expanded to include Degree Pass and Honours programmes.

Over the decades, the college has grown both in size and academic reputation. From a small institution with limited resources, it has evolved into a well-equipped degree college with a dedicated faculty team, a comprehensive library, science laboratories, and modern classroom facilities.

The college achieved recognition from the National University of Bangladesh and Comilla Education Board, paving the way for offering Honours degree programmes. Today, NMDC stands as a beacon of women's education in Brahmanbaria, producing hundreds of graduates every year who serve the nation in various capacities.

Throughout its history, the college has maintained a strong commitment to academic excellence, moral values, and holistic development. Cultural activities, sports events, debate competitions, and study tours are regularly organized to develop students beyond the classroom.
